Justin DeCotiis
Justin has been a vegetable gardener for over 10 years, growing all sorts of crops in his little yard, feeding his family healthy nutritious food a few steps from his kitchen. He likes to say that he inherited his “green” thumb from his grandmother, who taught him to love working with plants, to value their quirks, and to give them the compassion they need to grow. He has a B.A. in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University, a M.A in Science Education from Rutgers University, and he is currently an AP Environmental Science teacher at Manalapan High School. Justin has a strong connection with and respect for the environment and hopes to share his knowledge and passion with others through Root To Harvest. He is the heart and soul behind this local business and the lead gardener.
Mary Hoehl
Mary and Justin grew up together on the Jersey Shore and recently got married! Mary shares Justin's love for the environment and enjoys helping out in the garden, almost as much as she enjoys cooking up delicious meals with their truly local produce. She helps manage our website, social media, and all things involving paperwork.

Piglet is our resident pup. She enjoys lounging in the sun while watching Justin and Mary work in the garden, as well as snacking on carrots from the garden.
